What a drive!

We took the scenic route from Denver to Moab — Interstate 70 — through the Rockies and past places that brought back great memories. Family ski vacations in Breckinridge and Keystone, trips to Beaver Creek and Vail (ask me about the sweater story some time!!). And amazing geography all along the way. We timed our shared driving so that I took the easy highway to the edge of the mountains and Cliff took the winding highway through them.

Ski trails sure look different in the summer. But the mountains, amazingly, retained a bit of snow….look closely for the white patch at the top of the mountain in the photo on the right below. We saw several of these snow patches in the areas above the tree line….and noted temperatures where we were at close to 90 degrees.

Our photos weren’t all taken through our car windows:-). We actually made a stop or two along the way.
